Practice ZBrush keyboard shortcuts

Drill all 65 until you don't have to think about them.

sculpt without leaving the keyboard

Covers ZBrush's built-in default keyboard map, identical on Windows and Mac (ZBrush uses physical Ctrl/Alt on both, not Cmd); excludes OS-standard shortcuts (undo/redo/save/open) and the many mouse/pen gesture actions that cannot be drilled on a keyboard alone.

The progression

Every deck is graded 1 to 6: level 1 is the reflex core, the top level is where the specialists live. One move from each, so you can see how far it goes.

  1. Level 15 moves

Switch to the sculpting/Draw brush to lay down strokes on the mesh

    Q

The tool you fall back to after every move, scale, or mask, so it sits under the index finger.

…and 4 more at this level

  2. Level 210 moves

Grab the Draw Size slider to resize the brush from the keyboard

    S

Puts brush width one keypress away instead of a trip to the top shelf.

…and 9 more at this level

  3. Level 314 moves

Adjust Focal Shift to change the brush edge falloff

    O

Falloff decides whether an edge reads soft or hard, and you tune it constantly.

…and 13 more at this level

  4. Level 416 moves

    Toggle the floor grid display

    Shift+P

The grid grounds a model for scale, then clutters the view once you're detailing.

…and 15 more at this level

  5. Level 513 moves

Insert an edge loop on a partially hidden mesh

    Ctrl+E

    A one-key panel-loop for adding controlled topology mid-sculpt.

…and 12 more at this level

  6. Level 67 moves

    Enter Point Selection mode

    Shift+Ctrl+P

Drops you to vertex-level selection for precise, targeted edits.

…and 6 more at this level

How graduation works. Drill until every move in the deck holds at ≥95% first-try, under 800ms median, across two separate days. Then the deck is done — and you get a certificate stating exactly that, plus a LinkedIn credential in one click.
