level, gizmo, and graph without leaving home row

UE5 desktop defaults for mac and win, covering viewport, transform, snapping, Play-In-Editor and Blueprint-graph keys; it excludes mouse-gesture navigation (orbit/dolly/marquee) and generic OS copy/paste/undo, and every binding is remappable in Editor Preferences.

The progression

Every deck is graded 1 to 7: level 1 is the reflex core, the top level is where the specialists live. One move from each, so you can see how far it goes.

  1. Level 15 moves

Grab the Move (translate) gizmo to slide the selected actor

    W

It's the gizmo you touch a thousand times a day, the home row of level editing.

…and 4 more at this level

  2. Level 28 moves

Cycle to the next transform tool (Move to Rotate to Scale)

    Space

One key rotates through the three gizmos while your other hand stays on the mouse.

…and 7 more at this level

  3. Level 37 moves

During Play In Editor, eject from or re-possess the player pawn to free-fly

    F8

Eject mid-play to fly the camera around a bug without stopping the sim.

…and 6 more at this level

  4. Level 48 moves

Hide the selected actor(s) in the viewport

    H

Hides clutter so you can work on what's behind it.

…and 7 more at this level

  5. Level 59 moves

In the Blueprint graph, zoom to fit the selected nodes

    Home

Frames the selected nodes so a big graph snaps back to what you're editing.

…and 8 more at this level

  6. Level 63 moves

Clear all breakpoints in the Blueprint

    macCmd+Shift+F9winCtrl+Shift+F9

Wipes every breakpoint at once when you're done debugging.

…and 2 more at this level

  7. Level 72 moves

Switch the active perspective viewport to the perspective camera

    Alt+G

Snaps the active view back to the perspective camera after an ortho detour.

…and 1 more at this level
